Start RegEdit.

Move to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters

Create the following DWORD value:
     For workstations - AutoShareWks
     For servers - AutoShareServer

Set the value to zero (0).

You will need to reboot the workstation or server for this to take effect.
